CEUs: Continuing Education Units

Many of AAMI’s Continuing Education Courses have been approved by US State Boards, Canadian Provinces and the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. AAMI is an approved CEU (Continuing Education Unit) provider in New York, Indiana, Illinois, New Jersey, Florida, Connecticut, Maryland, Arizona, Oklahoma and several other US States and Canadian provinces.

As states and provinces vary on the number of CEUs Funeral Directors are required to take, it is important to verify the number of credits required with your own state or provincial board, and if they have approved any AAMI courses.

AAMI will post upcoming continuing education courses on the homepage of the website: www.funeraleducation.org. Please check back periodically.

Each February AAMI participates in a weekly cruise offering several continuing education programs. Please see the CEU Cruise link on this website.

Every April AAMI holds its annual Continuing Education “Boot Camp” on its campus in New York City; 6 CEUs are offered. It is held either the third or fourth Saturday of the month.

AAMI welcomes suggestions for continuing education courses. Please contact the Director of Continuing Education, Brian Kasler, at: bkasler@funeraleducation.org.

Currently AAMI does not offer any online continuing education programs.
